How long have you been taking photographs for?

I have been an amateur photographer since my childhood and was there long before digital photography, enduring stuffy darkrooms while everyone else was enjoying the sunshine. I started attending friends weddings as a photographer in the 1990's. So many people said that they were impressed with the work that ultimately I decided to make photography my professional weekend work.

Stephy has also been keen on photography since her teens. Please note, that although you are paying for one photographer we invariably attend weddings together and both have cameras with us ( as well as back up cameras), so you are very likely to have a combination of both of our work.

Why do you say you are Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked?

More and more people like the added of peace of mind in knowing that the people working for them have no previous convictions and that their integrity is sound. Many larger companies insist on this as standard practice for their employees. We recognise this and had no hesitation in being CRB checked. Proof available upon request to our clients.

Why are your prices much cheaper than many other professional photographers?

There are several reasons for this, but the main two are that we are not greedy and that during the week we have regular jobs just like most other people, so we are not relying on wedding photography as our sole source of income. We can book a days holiday from our regular work if your wedding is on a weekday.

How do I know that you wont stop trading due to the recession?

This is a fair question, but its not going to happen. As mentioned above Photography is not our sole source of income. It is a secondary declared income, but more than that Photography is something we are both passionate about and have been for ages, and that is never going to change. If you book us we will be there, its as simple as that..

How many photographs do we get for my money?

This depends on the package chosen, but you do get to see ALL the pictures taken on the day via our website. We send an exclusive link to the bride and groom first of all so that they can be sure they are happy with all displayed photos before they go on public display.

Our Bronze package quotes that you receive 20 Prints, but we take many more than this, we have been known to take upto 300 photos in the Bronze package. You pay no more for this as you still receive the 20 prints of your choice. Obviously we want you to choose more than 20 prints and offer a sliding scale discount if you cant narrow your choice down to just 20.

The most photos we have taken at any wedding / reception is 1040, but the Bride and Groom still only pay for the amount of the package, once again generous discounts are available if the couple cannot decide on their basic selection.

Why do you take so many photographs?

The more we take then the larger selection you have to choose from, but it also allows us to try more creative shots and also to capture discreet shots from a distance. No one likes having a camera constantly in their face and we have found that many of our most popular shots have been taken discreetly when the subject was completely unaware. A higher number of shots also allows for the things we cannot protect against, such as a tie blowing in the wind, someone blinking or a child looking away in a group photo

When and how do we get to see our photographs?

If we are attending your evening reception then we will display some of the days events at the reception on a laptop. This has always proved popular and many relatives order prints there and then. The full selection will be on our website within 21 days of your wedding during busy periods. Sometimes it is a lot sooner than that. All pictures have their own reference number and will be viewed online within a Google Picasa 3 private gallery. The gallery allows you to view the pictures at different sizes and even prevent them in a slide show. We have tested the galleries with Windows XP Home, XP Professional, XP 64 Bit Professional and Vista, using Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8 and Google Chrome.

Can we really copy and print files from your copyright free DVD?

It is, if you purchase the DVD we also provide a copyright waiver letter. You are free to copy the DVD and files and give to friends, family etc. We have found that people need the waiver letter otherwise they have been challenged when taking the DVD into digital processors to order prints. We do still reserve the right to use pictures on our website and in publicity material though.

If I pay a deposit and then subsequently cancel the booking will you refund me?

The short answer is no. When we accept a booking, regardless of the package booked, we reserve the whole date for you and turn away other enquiries for the same day. If you then decide to cancel your booking a few months before the wedding day we are very unlikely to be able to get a new booking for that date. Most of our bookings are made more than a year in advance. So, deposits are non refundable.
